MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE MUSIC EVENT IN MONTECOLOGNOLA
The chapel covered in frescoes done by the Umbrian artist Gerardo Dottori located in the Castle of Montecolognola is the venue of three concerts of medieval and renaissance music to be held from 27 September through 12 October.
Organised by the Montecolognola Parish and ANSPI, with the patronage of the City of Magione, the event, under the artistic direction of OrientisPartubus of Assisi, will see performances by some of the most renown musical ensembles specializing in this genre.
The first concert will take place on Saturday 27 September with the Ensemble Libercantus performing vocal geometry entitled Musical Architecture from the Middle Ages to Our Times, directed by Vladimiro Vagnetti.
On Sunday, 5 October the ARMONIOSOINCANTO will perform the Laud Book of Cortona under the direction of Franco Radicchia.
On Sunday, 12 October the final event featuring the OrientisPartibus of Assisi with Amor mi fa Cantar, the music and poetry from the 14th century.
All of the concerts are free and held at the Santa Maria Annunziata chapel at 17:30.
The concerts are followed by an aperitif with the musicians.
